Workaholic

Surely, many Hong Kong people think I am lazy, even though I work from 9:30 til 20:00 everyday.

Maybe in Hong Kong, many people think it's "common" or "normal" to work for 12 hours everyday, it's really pathetic for those who have this belief, what's life and what's the meaning of life? Work? Absolutely not, there are only 24 hours a day, if you spend 12 hours solely on work, then only 12 hours left, then you sleep for 7 hours everyday, you only have 5 hours left. 5 hours, you only have 5 hours everyday to work on your own business or enjoy your personal life, that sucks...

Maybe in Hong Kong, people are jus too tensed and don't know how to relax, or they were "educated" to be a slave of work when they were young, that's why they don't think working more than 12 hours everyday is a problem, what's a weird phenomenon...

I am trying hard to leverage my work and personal life, but it's hard to find a balance, I always hope my work won't interfere my personal life, but it just doesn't happen, no matter how hard I try, it still affects my life alot, is there any way to separate my life and my work? i am still seeking for that, I hope I can get it one day...

It's really horrible to hear people "criticise" my "laziness" when I think I work hard enough, why can't "they" just think deeply and thoroughly about their life, is it all about work? "Workaholic" definitely not a compliment, by referring to the "Oxford Advanced Learner's English-Chinese Dictionary" Forth edition,

Workaholic : person who works obsessively and finds it difficult to stop

Hope all those who read my blog don't have this problem... I mean I hope you are not a workaholic, or you need to go for meditation IMMEDIATELY... Good Luck mates...

Greed

Greed, one of the 7 dreadful sins...

What will make one become more and more greedy?

Money - the origin of SIN, when you have more money, you want MORE, you will never get satisfied.

Power - the more power you have, the higher tendency to be ruined by power, you may easily get "lost", your soul and mind.

Just wanna remind those who are GREEDY... sit down, take a deep breath and think...

What's the most important thing in your life, you can always find it near you, your parents, your friends... they are not from your "GREED", but from your "SOUL"...

My First Week in GA

My first week in GA was "BUSY", extremely BUSY... I haven't been that busy for quite a while. Though very super, I feel contented with my job.

On my first day, I had lunch with HK bosses and bosses from Italy and Japanese, I was so nervous during the lunch, in my first day andI needed to meet those top management, sounded good, right? what's a good start...

Yes... the story hasn't ended yet, a series of meeting were waitin' for me that day and a press dinner with all those key magazines' chief editors that night. Suddenly I became someone who was treated as "VIP" in the company, first time in 2 years... so overwhelmed...

OK... since then, needed to work on the store opening event, usually for the first week of work, the company tends to give you some good time, but in here, they push you to get in full gear... back to the event, though the scale was comparatively smaller than the GG one, everything was in-house, so, it's quite tough. I planned to go to to my friends' gig, but since needed to work on the event, couldn't make it, what's a shame... but good that I still can't meet my friends after my show and their show...

Anyway, I did feel very happy in my first week in GA, hope everything will work out fine...

Travelling - Part 2

Alright, I think it's time to have the part 2 issued, this time, I will try to make it shorter, to make it more "readable".

I can't say my England trip was PERFECT, but it's very close to PERFECT already. England trip didn't like the trip to Thailand, whenever going to Thailand, everyone will turn into extremely horny and pervy, "sangsom" is not only rum, but also bring out your innermost primitive and wildness to life. I was an ABSOLUTE gentleman in England, only drink and smoke occasionally (No doubt that many HK people think I drink too much, but by compare with all those English, I am just at the so called "beginner level")

Alright, back to my trip, my first impression to England was "It's just far too big", people living in Hong Kong surely not used to get on the tube for more than 30 minutes, but once I stepped out London Heathrow airport, I needed to take an underground tube to Victoria for nearly an hour. Then, the story begins…

"Ming, wait outside the Victoria Station, call me when you are there"

Alright, I was waiting outside the Victoria Station, called Dave "Hi Dave, I am waiting outside, where are you now? I am waiting next the HONG KONG CAFÉ" (I was a bit hopeless waiting outside, as I knew Dave probably waiting for me somewhere else, so I chose to wait outside HK cafe, as the name gave me a bit of HOPE... HONG KONG)

"Where are you? I am outside the station as well, can you see the Burger King?"

"No, Dave, you know it's my first time to come to England, I know nothing about the place, I can only see Fitness first and …" (I didn't expect that there were "thousand exits, I just followed the "way out" signs to get out, I started to question if I was really in LONDON or not, or I was outside LONDON already, you know, HK is a bit small)

I have been waiting outside the station for 15 minutes, hoping to be rescued by Dave as I needed to get my coach ticket to Leeds that would set off at 0930, by the time I was waiting outside V. Station, it's already 0910.

I was a bit worried and frustrated waiting on the street, I hate waiting like that, as I have told Andrew million times before, I hope everything goes well, I can't even accept one single mistake (Actually, Drew has done alot and planned everything for me, thank you Bo Yat Long, I shouldn't have any complaint, you are the BEST!)

Finally, I asked those looked freindly Londoners where the coach station was, and I finally met Dave at the cross junction, GOD BLESS, I was safe, and managed to catch the coach at the very last minute... JOURNEY TO THE NORTH begins...

Travelling - Part 1

It's always good to take a long break every year to get away from the daily routine life, this time, 19 days, seemed not very long, but many many unforgettable, memorable things happened in this trip. You just can't expect that every single day in your journey is a good day, and no one can guarantee that you will be happy everyday as well.

Whenever my friends asked me whether I had good time, sometimes I just simply said " You can't expect everyday is a good day, if there is no bad day, you won't treasure your good day". Of course I did hope every day was a good day in my trip, out of 19 days, I thought I have had extremely wicked time for at least 5 days, good day for 5 days, ordinary for 5 days, bad day for 4 days. Fair enough, right?

I did spend most of my time in England, when I first arrived there, I expected alot, and alot, I hope I would have delirium time in there everyday. I wanted everything, I was quite greedy, I didn't even want to sleep, to be honest, I always think "sleeping" was wasting your time, I always wanted to keep my eyes open.

Drinking, drinking and drinking became my routine in my trip, I think I drank alcohol everyday, I even drank on my flight back and on the train. I drank in Yarm (I met a girl who I can't take my eyes off her boos), Leeds (4 bars and clubs in a night, you may have heard from that from Bex), Manchester (I didn't like that much before, but after my Paris trip, I LOVE Manchester, one of my favourite place in England, so many HOT birds in the clubs, OMG), Brighton (It's just simply awesome), London (Dave's b-day was funny), Paris (though everything was f**king expensive, I did go to supermarket to buy RED wine to drink everyday), and back to Manchester (OMG, my last stop in England was Manchester again, absolutely good time there, nothing to complain).

My highlights of the trip (Not in order of importance)

1) Drinking with Drew, Bex, Larry, Paul, Kerrie, Laura, Sarah, Liam, Vic, Dave, Hannah, Jack, and ...

2) My first ever xxcocaixx in Brighton, never tried that before, It was great, I was singing all the way back home that night (verse : Andrew was a ham sup lo.... he's a kam yu lo...he's cocksucker... something like that...), I think Paul, Larry, Kerrie did enjoy that very much, haha... Also, I met a lovely girl called Sarah, she's so cute, will wait for her for 5 years until she's 16, haha...

3) Sightseeing in York, it's so beautiful.

4) Shopping in H & M and TopMan, Vic, Liam, Laura and Drew probably asked why I liked shopping in those 2 shops so much, shop and shop, and never stop. Alright, the reason is "There is no H & M and Top Man in Hong Kong".

5) London, many things happened there. London eye, the Parliament Square, London Bridge, meal in Aberdeen steak house, shit curry in an Indian restaurant, molested by a woman from Cambridge (she just simply kept on stroking my velvet jacket, she said she just couldn't control herself, haha, funny).

6) Manchester, I love this place, Mongolian BBQ, space, 5th Avenue, M12 or M2 (not sure the name), Star and Garter (something like that), I love it. Cheap drinks, and hot chicks, nothing to complain. I love the people I met there as well, Laura - Drew's sister, I love her, she's such an adorable and lovely girl, and a good shopping partner, we have got some best of the best goods from H & M and Top Shop.

7) Yarm, what's a wonderful and peaceful town I have ever been, so nice, so pretty, especially the sunset...

8) Paris, good for sightseeing, one of the most historical cities. I love the place, not those arrogent FRENCH. haha...

I have so many things wanna write for my trip, it's just PART 1, stay tune for more details of my trip...
